Trivia: Steve Hollar who played Rade Butcher was actually playing basketball for DePauw University at the time. This caught the attention of the NCAA. Later it was deemed that he was acting and not playing and was given a three-game suspension and was charged 5% of his acting fee.
 

Goofs: Continuity: As Merle is hitting the game winning shot with the “Picket Fence” play, the location of his defender switches between shots. In one shot, the defender is attempting to block the shot from the front. In the other shot, the defender is attempting to block the shot from the back.
